Assessain is shutting down.

We've decided to end the project. After more than a year of building, testing, and listening to your feedback, the honest conclusion is the one we already suspected when we wrote to you in March: the tool just isn't useful enough yet to earn a place in your teaching.

The AI grading was good — but not good enough to match how you grade. And a grading tool you have to double-check every time doesn't save you any time. We could keep building, but we'd rather be honest than keep running something nobody needs.

So we're winding Assessain down. The service will stop working, and all accounts and data will be removed.

Before we go, thank you. Thank you to everyone who created worksheets, sent submission links to students, tried the AI feedback, and wrote to us with ideas, complaints, and honest criticism. You shaped this project more than you know, and we're grateful for every minute you spent with it.
